Rosalie Maduro, AMFT, APCC

Psychotherapist Associate (she/her)

Online & Biweekly in West Los Angeles

I’m a first-generation Filipino-American therapist serving clients across California and Utah. I hold dual licensure as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), and I specialize in supporting BIPOC, AAPI, Filipinx, and LGBTQIA+ individuals, couples, and adolescents as they navigate trauma, complex PTSD, cultural identity, intergenerational dynamics, and life transitions.

I offer a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and holistic approach to therapy that honors the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. I integrate EMDR, somatic therapy, Narrative Therapy, mindfulness, and breathwork. As a certified 500-hour Clinical Yoga Practitioner, I also offer body-based practices that support nervous system regulation and help clients reconnect with the innate wisdom that lives within.

My work is deeply rooted in the belief that healing is not just about feeling better, it’s about reclaiming inner strength, cultivating resilience, and coming home to yourself.

Before becoming a therapist, I earned my degree in Mechanical Engineering from The George Washington University and spent years working in operations, client services, and marketing. My background in engineering and systems thinking gives me a unique perspective in therapy: I’m attuned to patterns, practical with tools, and thoughtful about building a clear, intentional path forward, all while remaining anchored in empathy, flexibility, and your personal story.

I earned my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles, specializing in trauma. My personal experience growing up between cultures and navigating identity, family expectations, and belonging ultimately led me to this work. It’s what enables me to hold space with depth, nuance, and care, especially for those who have never fully felt seen or understood.

Outside the therapy room, I find joy in nature, skiing, scuba diving, yoga, volunteering, and spending time with my rescue dogs.

I believe healing happens in relationships when we feel safe, seen, and affirmed in our full complexity. Whether you’re carrying the weight of old wounds, exploring your identity, working through relationship challenges, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, you don’t have to do it alone.

Treatment Approach

I work collaboratively with clients to examine and rewrite the stories they tell themselves about their lives. I bring a structured and systematic mindset to therapy and utilize trauma-informed somatic interventions. By guiding clients to tune into their bodily sensations, I facilitate the processing of emotions at a profound level.

I teach practices that support your nervous system to move toward regulation, or homeostatic balance. These practices teach you how to be with challenging sensations without bracing to allow energy to shift and release, rather than accumulating in your body. Over time, your window of tolerance expands so that your nervous system naturally spends more time in parasympathetic, or “rest and digest,” even as you move through the world .

In the process, I help you to unburden the original traumas that live on as hypersensitivity to threat. To do this, we need to meet and befriend the protective parts that over or under react to present situations. With more understanding and acceptance, these parts calm down and start to work together as a team, helping you to become more responsive and vital.

I help you build a personalized tool-kit to manage your symptoms going forward. When you stop fearing your symptoms they lose power over you and they begin to fade. Clients often report forgetting about symptoms as their life comes back into the foreground.
